Point Isabel ISD District Spelling Bee Showcases Exceptional Spelling Talents

Port Isabel,Texas (January 23, 2024) — The Point Isabel Independent School District (PIISD) is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the 2024 District Spelling Bee, held on January 18, 2024, at Port Isabel Early College High School.
 
A total of 25 talented students from various grades participated in this prestigious event, showcasing their extraordinary spelling abilities. The competition was intense, and each participant demonstrated a commendable level of dedication and skill.

The winners of the 2024 Point Isabel ISD Spelling Bee are as follows:
1st Place: Neera Elangovan - 5th Grade
2nd Place: Luke Holt - 7th Grade
3rd Place: Headi Morales - 8th Grade
 
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participants for their hard work and commitment to excellence. Each speller exhibited exceptional linguistic prowess, making the competition a true celebration of academic achievement.
 
A special mention goes out to Neera Elangovan, the 1st place winner, who will proudly represent Point Isabel ISD at the upcoming regional competition in February. We wish Neera the best of luck as she continues to showcase her spelling talents on a broader stage.
